Bio

Tushar Ghosh is a professor in the College of Textiles at NC State University. He received his B.Sc. Tech. degree in Textile Technology from the University of Calcutta (1975), M.Tech. degree in Textile Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in New Delhi (1978), and Ph.D. degree in Fiber & Polymer Science (1987) from N.C. State University. His research interests are quite diverse, encompassing textile processes, mechanics of fibrous structures, design and development of functional fibers, and adaptive and responsive textiles. His current research focuses on the fabrication of fiber-based sensors and actuators involving polymer nanocomposites, electronic textiles, electroactive polymers, and biomimetic systems.
